When it comes to the weekend on the West Coast of California, it normally involves getting up super early and driving the empty roads to one of many Car & Coffee meets. All across the coast of SoCal, classics, super cars and hot rodders gather for a few hours from 7am-9am to drink coffee, showcase their pride machines and talk cars.

One of the meets that we heard about was the Wheels & Waves at Malibu beach and so after contacting it’s creator Fireball Tim, we woke at 6am and made the drive from south LA to Malibu.

As we rolled into the parking area next to Starbucks Coffee, the sun started to rise and the gleaming paint of classics mixed with the smell of coffee bought a smile to all the drivers enjoying such as peaceful morning in Malibu.

With this meet, it’s definitely a quality over quantity which makes it more perfect for enjoying some of the West Coasts classic cars, that you may not normally get to see every day.

Take a look at the photographs and you will see cars such as a Jensen, Karmann Ghia’s, VW Camper vans, MG Midget, Jaguar E-types and even a chrome Cobra to name just a few.

Next time you visit the West Coast and you want to experience the SoCal culture, then this is one to visit.
