After 4 years in the making, Bliss n Eso officially unveiled their custom 1976 Kombi van at the 2014 MotorEX event in Melbourne on Saturday 26 June. The green machine which was also recently used as a stage centerpiece on the record-breaking ‘Circus Under The Stars tour’ is believed to be the most modified vehicle of its type in the world and has taken out three Gold Medals and one Bronze medal in the Street Elite category at this prestigious event.

Built on the Gold Coast by ‘Brothers Speed Shop’ over a 4 year period, the Kombi is a one-of-a-kind show car with a custom DJ console including a purpose built audio and video system that integrates into the band’s live stage shows. From the custom built electronic roof through to the airbag suspension and handmade chassis rails this vehicle has been built from the ground up whilst still incorporating original features including the headlights, handles, windows and more.

Crafted almost entirely out of sheet metal, the Kombi has no external body kit or elements. Thousands of man hours from highly skilled professionals have ensured clean lines and perfect symmetry throughout. “We are very excited to have finally unveiled this Kombi to the world. It’s been a dream of ours for over 10 years and something we are very proud of. When we drove it onto stage for the first time on our recent tour, to hear the crowd loose their minds with excitement and awe was truly special.

Then to have launched it at Motor Ex and have it take out 4 medals in the prestigious “Street Elite” category was a very fulfilling moment – knowing that all that hard work and meticulous vision over 4 years had been recognized and commended by the most critical show car judges in the country” – Jonathan Notley
